Was the Associated Press transcription of Obama’s CBC speech ‘racist’?

The Cutline

By Dylan Stableford
Tue.09 27 2011

By most accounts, President Obama gave a fiery speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual awards dinner in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, telling blacks to “quit crying and complaining” and support him in the fight for jobs, according to the Associated Press. But was the AP transcription of Obama’s remarks racist?

That’s the subject currently being debated after the issue was raised on Chris Hayes’ MSNBC show on Sunday.

On MSNBC, the African-American author Karen Hunter complained the news service transcribed Obama’s speech without cleaning it up as other outlets did–specifically including the “dropped g’s.”

Obama On Jobs Or Just Campaigning?????

By Bob L.

Gary BauerBy Gary Bauer

Obama’s Hope Turns to Violent Envy

In three years, Barack Obama has morphed from the Herald of Hope to the Envoy of Envy.

The President has always been an eager class warrior.  But he has now taken things to a new level, making the politics of envy and resentment the signature theme of his reelection campaign. MORE

Rehabilitating Class Warfare

It’s interesting how quickly the narrative has changed.
It seems like only yesterday that President Obama was passionately denying that his re-election campaign was based on class warfare.  In fact, it was exactly one week ago, during the Rose Garden rollout of his $1.5 trillion package of tax increases. MORE

Obama’s Fundraising Blitz

Hard pivot to job creation officially over.

President Obama’s sixteenth “pivot” to job creation officially ended over the weekend, as he flew out of Washington for “a seven-stop fundraising swing that was taking him from Seattle to Hollywood to San Diego through Monday,” as reported by the Associated Press.  Events thrown for our Man of the People included a $35,800 per couple brunch at the home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley, whose name Obama promptly forgot, referring to him as “Mark.” MORE

Candidate Obama’s Class Warfare

Forget trying to govern.  President Obama has gone all in on class warfare.

Don’t expect any of his stimulus or deficit-cutting ideas to pass Congress.  They’re not designed to pass in a House controlled by Republicans.  They’re designed to pit middle-class and poor voters against job creators and the Tea Party’s low-tax philosophy. MORE

Americas Foreign Jobs Bill, Not Americas

09 23 2011

HOW MANY JOBS AMERICAN, How Many Jobs Foreign????.

If 75 to 80% of the products come out of other countries, then the only  people who will get work will be ones that already have jobs.

Has any one heard Obama mention that little fact that about 75 to 80% of the materials will not be made here in the states, look at the track record when it comes to jobs, these are some of the jobs that he let go to other places, not here, and Obama makes the statement BUY AMERICAN, does he forget that he was one of them in Washington DC at the time that these companies left, or force were forced to leave over high TAXES.

Cincinnati Bridge Typical of Obama’s Phony ‘American Jobs’ Bill

Return of the Real Obama

WASHINGTON — In a 2008 debate, Charlie Gibson asked Barack Obama about his support for raising capital gains taxes, given the historical record of government losing net revenue as a result. Bam’s Government Loans to Nowhere Bill

President Obama still hasn’t learned the classic First Rule of Holes: When you’re in one, stop digging. His willful ignorance is America’s abyss.   MORE

One Sick Country, the United States

By Bob L.

First you complain about PORN now you want it, WHAT, DEATH PENALTY, first you want is, then you don’t, but then you complain of over crowding and turning sex offenders, and violent criminals loose, you complain when some one in your family is killed and want to know why, you can go on and on, but until you say you have had it, the law will go to the one with the most money.

There is a lot of problems with GAY Rights now, we don’t need people creating more violants in this Country.

ACLU Bullying Schools Into Allowing Porn Access on Computers?

By David Cortman

At different locales around the country, in places as diverse as Detroit, Mich., Lawrenceville, Ga., and Camdenton, Mo., the ACLU is sending letters and filing lawsuits seeking to disallow government school usage of certain Internet filters. They claim their campaign is designed to end the blocking of “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” activist group sites, but in reality it will allow school children to access to pornographic websites. The Return of the Robber Barons

Daniel J. FlynnBY Daniel J. Flynn

The robber barons are back. Washington is replaying That ’70s Show—that 1870s show. The liberals who warned us against the crony capitalists in history books are the crony capitalists in front of us.

Little did we know that green jobs referenced dollars and not the environment. Holding a half-billion-dollar note on bankrupt Solyndra tends to spark such epiphanies.

How could we have been so green?

Administration darling Solyndra never turned a profit in its six or so years of existence. The Freemont, California-based company lost more than $232 million in the year leading up to the Obama administration’s decision to Continue reading

Tax Hike For Who, and Cuts for Who?

By Bob L.
Sun.09 18 2011

Now why would any one want to stop a tax increase on the Rich, is it because all those over under Educated Idiots in D.C. all make over ONE MILLION a year above what they get paid to do a job that they don’t have any Idea of what they are doing, other than Protecting the themselves and the rich.

The next thing that will probably come out of the White House is that the unions will get a big tax break, if you check you will see that the big companies are paying on average, wages over One Hundred Thousand a Year, and you hear Obama saying that he wants to give them a tax break, now people making this should not get a tax break, if they do then you can say that the Government is Discriminating against people living on poverty level and below, the tax cut should be Fifty Thousand a Year and under that should get the tax break.

I have tried to find where this free Country went after 1967, but every time I look at the paper or turn on the Television, all I see or hear about this is the Wealthy getting away with breaking the law that us poor FOLKS go to jail for, a good example Shop Lifting, Drunk Driving, Hit and Run, Drug Possession, and there is more that the law turns their back on when it comes to the RICH, NOW where is this free Country when it comes to the law, and who controls it.

Set their wages at FIFTY  THOUSAND a YEAR to do the job, and they have to pay for every thing else, just like the American people do, Americans don’t get a free ride, they should not be able to either.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama, in a populist gesture designed to appeal to voters, will propose a “Buffett Tax” on people making more than $1 million a year as part of his deficit recommendations to Congress on Monday.

Such a proposal, among suggestions to a congressional Super Committee expected to seek up to $3 trillion in deficit savings over 10 years, would appeal to his Democratic base ahead of the 2012 election but likely not raise much in revenues. Continue reading

GM and UAW reach first labor deal since bankruptcy

By Bob L.
Sat.09 17 2011

It seems a little funny that two companies that just got out of bankruptcy can now start going after big Pay packages, where is the money that they were going to pay back to the Taxpayer, now if they PAID the taxpayers back, WHERE is the money?

Where is this money that were suppose to have paid back?

Is this money going to bail out companies, or to help more file for BANKRUPTCY?

DETROIT (Reuters) – General Motors Co and the United Auto Workers union reached a proposed contract for about 48,500 production workers that would create new U.S. factory jobs and include profit-sharing bonuses.

The proposed contract, which must be ratified by rank-and-file workers, represents the first since U.S. taxpayers bailed out GM and Chrysler Group LLC in 2009.

Details of the tentative deal reached late on Friday were being withheld until it could be reviewed by UAW officials from around the country at a meeting set for Tuesday in Detroit. Continue reading

Green Businesses and Cut-Throat Economies

By Bob L.

Think Green and watch them go Bankrupt after you bail them out.

[“On Wednesday, the bankruptcy of a solar power company in California with political ties to the Obama Administration appeared]

It seems that this is a standard policy of this administration to hand out hard-earned Taxpayer money with no return or interest.

Can someone show me where the Constitution authorizes the federal government to “nurture green businesses in a cutthroat economy?”

When is the free market not cut-throat?  That’s a feature, not a bug.  One of its advantages is that stupid business plans get their throats cut, and die.  By contrast, there seems to be no way to stop President Obama from throwing billions of taxpayer dollars into “green energy” rat holes.  Even as congressional hearings into the Solyndra disaster got under way, the Energy Department was announcing Continue reading

Cherokee Indians say they will not be dictated to by U.S.

By Bob L.

Boy just think how one-sided the Government is when it comes to the law of the land, it is all right for them to break the law that has been set down, but when it comes to any one else, it is illegal for any one else to break a law that is on the books, a good example of breaking the law is the illegals coming to this Country, is the Government enforcing the law there, NO, they are breaking a written law just like what they say the Cherokee nation is doing.

Is this not what a Dictator is, the law pertains to YOU not ME, so this gives them the right to break any law that they want, and it seem that this is what our Government is doing daily and saying you can not do as I do, but do as I say.

If this is the case of Slavery and the freedmen then why are they not going after white Decendants of slave owners and holding them to be responsible for support.

FACT CHECK: Obama’s jobs plan paid for? Seems not

By Bob L.

Fri.09 09 2011

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s promise Thursday that everything in his jobs plan will be paid for rests on highly iffy propositions.

It will only be paid for if a committee he can’t control does his bidding, if Congress puts that into law and if leaders in the future — the ones who will feel the fiscal pinch of his proposals — don’t roll it back.

Underscoring the gravity of the nation’s high employment rate, Obama chose a joint session of Congress, normally reserved for a State of the Union speech, to lay out his proposals. But if the moment was extraordinary, the plan he presented was conventional Washington rhetoric in one respect: It employs sleight-of-hand accounting.

A look at some of Obama’s claims and how they compare with the facts: Continue reading
