Obama in July: I Can’t Change Immigration Laws On My Own

Obama in July: I Can’t Change Immigration Laws On My Own      “But he just did.”

Less than one month ago, Barack Obaama told radical La Raza activists that he would like to change immigration laws but that he did not have that power.

“I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own… The idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. But that’s not how — that’s not how our system works.”

Obama addressed La Raza back on July 25,2011.

The Sun-Times has the transcript:

THE PRESIDENT: Now, I swore an oath to uphold the laws on the books, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know very well the real pain and heartbreak that deportations cause. I share your concerns and I understand them. And I promise you, we are responding to your concerns and working every day to make sure we are enforcing flawed laws in the most humane and best possible way.  Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. (Applause.) And believe me, right now dealing with Congress —

AUDIENCE: Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can!

THE PRESIDENT: Believe me — believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting.

(Laughter.)

I promise you. Not just on immigration reform.

(Laughter.)

But that’s not how — that’s not how our system works.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Change it!

But, that was way back in July.  Yesterday, Barack Obamatook the law into his own hands and halted deportation proceedings of illegal aliens on a case by case basis. He changed the laws on his own.

Didn’t many of these people in the audience, their families, and their friends FLEE COUNTRIES WHOSE LEADERS “took the laws into their own hands?”  Now they expect Obama  who “swore an oath to uphold the laws on the books,” to do the same as their former, or still current, lawless leaders, turned dictators, when many of their compatriots died trying to get here, a country based ON THE RULE OF LAW AND THE ENVY OF THE WORLD???

They also left countries where their government officials were corrupt, who could easily be bribed, and who, in many cases, were in criminal mafias and connected to drug lords themselves!

ALL OF THESE GROUPS, WHICH ARE RACIST TO THE CORE, their supporters, and the groups they support, ARE HERE, AND CAME HERE, DUE TO THE RULE OF LAW and now they want us to bypass the  “laws on the books,” AND TO BECOME LIKE THE LAWLESS COUNTRY THEY LEFT???

ONE LAW MEXICO ENFORCES REAL WELL: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!!! Try being illegal in Mexico.  A recent documentary I saw was on an El Salvadorean family that was followed to the Rio Grande.  On their way, they jumped on trains with other “ILLEGALS” ILLEGALLY IN MEXICO.  On one stop they were tired from lack of sleep so they went into the small town and saw an elderly man in his front yard and asked him if they could sleep in his yard.  He wouldn’t let them because he would be arrested for harboring ILLEGALS and put in “JAIL FOR SIX YEARS!”  The family made it all the way to the Rio Grande and one of the men had crossed before and used a plastic swimming pool blowup alligator.  He helped all to cross SUCCESSFULLY.

“ALLIGATOR?” OBAMA was in El Paso this past April, across from Juarez, the murder capital of the world, saying that “the border is secure” to a crowd of supporters, and ILLEGALS, and catered to their HATRED OF AMERICA’S LAWS, and HIS HATRED OF REPUBLICANS by saying “Republicans want to build a moat with alligators” on the border.  That means that “REPUBLICANS” WANT MEXICANS, and others, to be EATEN ALIVE if they tried to cross!  AND THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT THAT SAYS THAT HATEFUL OF A COMMENT ABOUT FELLOW AMERICANS ONLY TO MAKE POINTS AND TO GAIN SUPPORTERS AND VOTES??? THIS MAN IS TOTALLY PSYCHOTIC!!!

Obama actually thinks he is gaining Latino voters with these actions? Most of these ILLEGALS can’t vote anyway and if they could vote, probably won’t! So, what’s left are HISPANICS who have roots going back centuries, like mine, and who are traditionally, and BORN, Democrats.  (I’m Republican and switched in the 80’s to vote for the greatest President of our time and voted for Bush twice.) HERE IN NEW MEXICO, HISPANICS DO NOT SUPPORT ILLEGALS IN ANY WAY!  “ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL” THEY SAY.  The older generation, who vote, are madder than I am at illegals.  The young too are angry as evident at a protest at a Santa Fe high school where Hispanic students were complaining about the illegals who were over-crowding the school and using the already slim resources.  They were yelling “Go home!” And Obama thinks they, or their family, will vote for him?

OBAMA AND HOLDER MUST ENFORCE the laws that are CURRENTLY on the books, not what they  think they should be, could be, or would be! THEIR OPINIONS, OR OFF THE CUFF CHANGING OF THE LAWS WITHOUT PRIOR CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL,  CANNOT OVERRIDE THE CONSTITUTION WHICH IS IN THEIR OATH THEY SWORE TO UPHOLD!

“Yes you can.” HOW DARE THEY! This type of arrogance should make all of us more RESOLUTE to enforce the laws, and DEMAND that those in charge of enforcing laws, ARREST AND DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS SINCE THAT IS THE LAW!!!  “Deport 12 million?” WHY NOT? THAT’S THE LAW PERIOD!!! One bus at a time!

AFTER ALL, THEY COULD HAVE STAYED IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES AND FOUGHT AGAINST THEIR COUNTRIES, AND LEADERS, “INJUSTICES!” And yet they come here to PROMOTE INJUSTICES??? What? They couldn’t stand up in their countries and fight as vigorously as they are here? THAT ABOUT SAYS IT ALL!!! COWARDS who left family and friends to come here to complain about us instead of standing up there? We’re not the problem, THEY ARE THE PROBLEM!

    •         The thing that needs to be done is do a home raid, with news reporters and TV cameras on the scene where the occupants are perp-walked out and all their possessions confiscated. After all, the big screen TV and furniture were gotten with dollars raked in by fraud (illegals are not allowed to work, so their stuff was purchased with ill-gotten money  no matter if they sold drugs or worked hard.) The citizen occupants should also be hauled out for aiding, abetting and harboring illegal aliens, and if they own all the stuff, that is a price to be paid. Even the employer landlord should be charged for allowing people to over-occupy a unit. That would be the biggest stimulus of all. And all the illegals, except the gang members and drug dealers, would self-deport with their stuff. This would also hugely reduce the immigration court caseload which has Napolitano crying that there are not enough resources to prosecute.

And we need to start taxing all remittances sent to another country by their citizens from here. Those remittances to the tune of $27 billion (but probably much more now) is the second largest component of Mexico’s GDP after the oil industry. Obama is whining about the need for more revenues so that is an untapped resource.

And every immigrant in the country legally must carry their greencard or visa, as the illegal groups have screamed against. Americans have to show ID cashing checks, using credit cards, driving, etc. It is not like we are asking them to haul around huge chiseled stones chained to their ankles. And just having a Mexican card their roving consulates issue does not prove that one is here legally. And I won’t even get into the fraud committed by illegals when they pop out an anchor baby and use the kid’s name and SSN to get jobs and vote.

We have a lot of problems  and it isn’t unfair laws. More it is an administration which lies and favors all others above American citizens. Maybe we can deport Obama to Kenya or Indonesia — if they will have him.

              “La Raza.” “The Race.”

Hmmm. An organization for Latinos called “The Race.”

I think I’ll found a group of white people called “The Race.”

Think I’ll be accused of “hate” and “racism?”

Think the president will speak to a meeting?

Think the Southern Poverty Law Center will approve of it?

    •         The Boy Blunder still can’t change the law on his own.  He can, however, break the law on his own–which he does consistently.  He deserves impeachment then imprisonment.
    •         If we had a house with balls they would impeach. The senate would never convict, but at least one half of one branch would have done their job.
    •         Absolutely!  So, the resounding question is why have they not?  Is there complicity by Boehner and Cantor?  How are the law breakers able to stonewall the Supreme Court from enforcing appelate court decisions?  Why cannot the federal courts expedite a hearing on the NLRB suit against Boeing?  Why cannot the Supreme Court find against Obama in the oil drilling moratorium, his EO on immigration, the mandates in Obamacare, Dodd banking regulations, the AIG suit against Bank of America, the strikes against Ford and VZ and the Libyan War.  There is a direct assault on Ford by Government Motors.  Obama is inciting the unions, police forces and the minorities to the point of hysteria and violence.  The border states must move to protect themselves from foreign invaders.

Above interesting article about what Obama’s amnesty plan really entails, and it just ain’t only the much touted innocent children brought here by their parents… People under temporary protected status (TPS) should be allowed to change that for permanent residency; lessening standards for proving extreme hardship; waiving chain migration requirements on a case-by-case basis, etc.

    •         If I thought it was a matter of

Wait, we can’t deport all of them so we are going to start with the ones who have stolen, raped, killed, assaulted, or been involved in drugs become members of a gang and so forth, along with their families.

I would go for them focusing in on those illegals because if you remember how the last amnisty bill was written  the criminals and gang members were going to be given amnisty just like the guy who was here for a job, you know the kind of job Americans on welfare won’t do?

If we could sort off the actively criminal portion of our illegal population, along with their families then that would be a huge down payment on dealing with the problem. It would focus the debate on how to deal with the rest of them.

I think we should have local boards of volunteers who consider their applications for a path to citizenship which would include a fine. Then we should have them take classes put on by volunteers (where TEA Party guys can teach them the constitution). Those not accepted for a path to citizenship would be given a path to leave and a few years to make preparations, save money, so they can land on their feet when they go home. (an exception to this would be illegals from countries with high levels of terrorist activity)

We need a 6-7 year plan to deal with this problem because it didn’t start overnight and a good place to start is with the criminal element. I just don’t trust Obama to do that the way you or I would do it.

If we come off advocating anything that seems extreme it will turn off the rest of the voters because one thing Americans hate is extremes. If you want to get anything done you had better be smart about it and you had better realize that the majority has the say on this anyway. In other words you are not going to get a full out round-up so quit demanding that and start looking at what you can get so you have a voice in getting the priorities.
