Sanders warns Obama not to agree with GOP on Social Security benefit cuts

By Bob L.
01/15/11

The people who tamper with the Social Security and Medicare want to see more people living on the street or in Homeless shelters, but will it stop them from taking that money from your pay check IF you have a job, (I don’t think so) and this brings up a big question, now that you don’t have a job where will you get money when you become retirement age, look how many people who have lost their retirement do to this housing crash, or have had to spend it to put food and a roof over their families heads, now if you can not get a job before you retire, where will you get money to finish out your years.

Today you have people who have lost their retirement do to down sizing, outsourcing, companies closing their doors do to Government over taxing, and loss of business, a lot of things can come into play that can leave you with NO RETIREMENT or income, so now what do you have.

Then you have the Government that decided that they needed more money to give to other Countries, so they started spending money from the Social Security and putting it in to the General fund, so when are they going to repay their IOU’s, as it stood before that Social Security had a Surplus.

People want to stop Social Security and say they can save for their own retirement, (will they, NO, they will spend it) WOW suddenly you don’t you have a job, NO Retirement, and you Can’t Find A New Job, NOW WHAT, you did it to your selves, they call it GREED.

Obama chooses Daley as chief of staff

people_32.gif (9824 bytes)Are YOU yes YOU are you Fed-Up

If this article is true to what they are saying, it sounds like some one had better watch to make sure that NO taxpayer money is spent to pay these people to go campaign for Obama, to me Some thing is rotten in Washington D.C.

For some one who Campaigned on NO Lobbyers, NO Wall-street or any one wanting favors from this administration, BUT what has he done since he got into office, exactly what he campaigned against, this proves just how far you can trust this administration.

Are these the same people who brought this Country down on the heels of BANKRUPTCY, or DEPRESSION, and now it sounds like he is going to spend more taxpayers money flying around in AIR FORCE ONE Campaigning for 2012, some one need to cut off his funds to Air Force One and keep it on the ground.

How much time has Obama spent in Washington doing his job since he got control of two air craft one for him and one for his wife to go the same place in TWO DIFFERENT PLANES, I wonder if his children have their own private planes too????

President Obama content to let House Republicans thump their chests

By Bob L.

Obama is some thing else, he makes the comment about telling the Republicans there is plenty of time to campaign in 2012, but for him the time to start campaigning is when he was Elected in  2009 and he has not stopped campaigning since, just look how much rest AIR FORCE ONE has since he took office. So look who is throwing stones.

By Sam Youngman: President Obama’s strategy for dealing with the new Republican majority in the House is to stay above the fray and look presidential for the 2012 race.

By Democratic strategist Kirsten Powers: I think we can expect to see some gridlock, not a lot of big things happening but Obama trying to appear more moderate for his re-election.

By JULIE PACE: Republicans readying to run for his job, the administration will simultaneously be laying the groundwork for Obama’s re-election bid, which will be operated out of Chicago.

The president gave a preview of that strategy during his trip home from his Christmas vacation in Hawaii, when he ventured back to Air Force One’s press cabin and suggested he would essentially take a spectator’s role while House Republicans beat their chests and howl.

Asked specifically if he was prepared to deal with a GOP attempt to repeal healthcare reform, Obama seemed somewhat blasé about the priorities of the new Congress. Continue reading

Obama urges House, Senate GOP leaders to put politics aside

By Bob L.

Presidents and Politicians who live in GLASS HOUSES should not throw STONES, you will never know who is there to throw it back.

The president said he hopes Republicans will realize “there will be plenty of time to campaign for 2012 in 2012. – This is a laugh when the President has already got people out there pushing for his 2012 Campaign, and that is all he has been doing since he got into office, the hell with the problems in America, he does not care, he just wants that second term in office.

At the rate this Country is going down hill, another SIX YEARS there will not be any thing left of this Country, and every one thought BUSH was BAD.

He does not have any clue what is going on here because he turned every thing over to his czars so he can spend all his time flying around in AIR FORCE ONE Campaigning for 2012, he has been doing that since he was Elected, so where does he get off telling the GOP there is plenty of time to Campaign

President Obama, returning to Washington from his Christmas vacation in Hawaii, urged House and Senate GOP leaders to put partisan politics aside in the name of working to boost the economy.

The president said onboard Air Force One he hoped incoming House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) “will realize that there will be plenty of time to campaign for 2012 in 2012,” according to a pool report.

“And that our job this year is to make sure that we build on recovery,” he added. “We started making good progress on that in the lame-duck, and I expect to build on that progress when I get back.”

Obama was asked by reporters during a surprise visit to the press cabin about the House vote next week to repeal his signature healthcare legislation, and whether he expected to get a chilly reception on the Hill.

“I think that there’s gonna be politics, that’s what happens in Washington,” he said. “They are going to play to their base for a certain period of time. But I’m pretty confident that they’re going to recognize that our job is to govern….”

Obama will be back in Washington Tuesday, a day before the swearing-in of the 112th Congress.

Pa. allows dumping of tainted waters from gas boom

By Bob L.

Here is a case of cleaning up U.S. Pollution, (YA RIGHT) now if you remember this is what Obama Campaigned on, cleaning up this Country, and getting away from foreign Dependence, well this looks like this is the future of America, and like the OLD SAYING, FOR EVERY ACTION THERE IS A REACTION, SO, there needs to be a study of the reaction, this is what is over looked before taking action and knowing what you want before you do any thing.

This Country today runs off half cocked because some one made every one believe that this is fact and nothing can go wrong, but in the end is the reaction from failure to do the study before the ACTION.

The natural gas boom gripping parts of the U.S. has a nasty byproduct: waste water so salty, and so polluted with metals like barium and strontium, that most states require drillers to get rid of the stuff by injecting it down shafts thousands of feet deep.

Not in Pennsylvania, one of the states at the center of the gas rush.

There, the liquid that gushes from gas wells is only partially treated for substances that could be environmentally harmful, then dumped into rivers and streams from which communities get their drinking water.

In the two years since the frenzy of activity began in the vast underground rock formation known as the Marcellus Shale, Pennsylvania has been Continue reading

President Obama’s latest recess appointment is a corporate lawyer, hailing from a leading Democratic lobbying firm where he represented defense contractors and health care companies.

The nomination of James M. Cole, now deputy attorney general, never made it to the Senate floor thanks to questions about his time as a compliance monitor at AIG, and his views on fighting terrorism. Continue reading

Climate PR effort heats up

By Bob L.

Why is it that every time companies have to clean up their act, they put it on the shoulders of the working people in taxes to pay for it, why not make the rich give up some of their own million dollar pay and bonuses, and put it back into the company where it belongs any way, not their pockets, but no, we have to bail them out when they file for bankruptcy, but if they were putting that money back in to the company not their pockets they would not be going bankrupt, and they would have more profit.

There are other ways to clean up the environment then line the pockets of stock holders and corporate execs. But no they make the working people pay for it in loss of jobs, higher prices, or like the bailout, TAXES, for what, so Corporate EXECS. and stock holders can keep their BIG PAY and BONUSES.

Hey America! Are you ready to get wonky on global warming?

After a year that started with fallout from the “Climategate” e-mail release, saw the cap-and-trade bill die in Congress, and ended with a gang of Republican climate skeptics winning House and Senate seats, global warming experts are going back to basics.

Environmentalists, scientists and lawmakers have renewed public relations efforts to put global warming plainly before Americans’ eyes and also rebut opponents who say nothing is happening. Continue reading
