Global Warming what is it, it is the fabrication of the greedy who want to bring this Country down with all the other Countries around the world for their profit and control of all people, just like Hitler, each County should have their own control of their future, NOT ONE, you can see what happens when a dictator has control, total domination of its people who no longer have a say, just like what is happening here in this Country today.

Now lets look at who is causing global warming, well it is people who are in such a hurry to get their ass in an other place before their brain gets there, for one, cars that go 200 miles per hour when the speed limit is 70, ride on planes to get their ass to the other side of the Country faster no matter at what cost to the world, and these people are the ones who are yelling the loudest about global warming.

Now who are these people, Environmentalist, Special Interest, and all Government Agencies who speak for them selves not the people, look around, do you have a say in how much Government Employees pays them selves like they do you, do you have a say, do you have a say in how much taxes you are going to pay them, do you have a say in what they are going to spend that money on, and what project are going to be taken care of and at what cost.

Has Government told you where you can go and where you can go at a second cost that you are already paying for in your taxes, and why are they doing this, to bring in more money to pay them selves, did they give you a choice, NO, here again it is the same thing that they have been doing for years, you don’t know what is good for you so we are going to pick and choose what is good for you, we know what is best, yes what is best is not for you, it is what’s best for them all to get paid more, they are just another dictator of YOUR life.

You no longer have a life as a free American Citizen to shape your destiny, your Education, what type of work you want to do, where you want to go on Vacation without breaking the bank, if you want to go camping in a park that is one thing supply’s and clean up for the park is fine, no wages, BUT just to visit for a day, you should not have to pay to have a family outing.

They talk about Hate Crimes and Race, but why are they not Prosecuting these people who are pushing and promoting vigilantism. Why is it that they are looking the other way when it comes to that, why are they prosecuting whites for hate crimes which are the same thing as what these black are doing.

I hate using the name blacks, I would rather call them Americans Citizens, not African-Americans, African-Americans are the people who were brought here as slaves, today they are just Americans Citizens because they were not born in Africa, it is fine to recognize your heritage, but you are Americans now, but if they want to go there then tell them to go, but these Americans are Americans and should stand up against these race baiters and tell them you are true Americans, and not losers like they keep saying you are.

I believe that they are just as capable (having power and ability; efficient; competent,  skillful, ingenious, accomplished) and should not be constantly put down by these people, come on people stop letting these people putting  you down, you are not stupid as what they are telling, you are just as smart as any one else, but you keep letting them call you dumb and stupid and will never get any where in life, they are the ones who are keeping you down, come on you are smarter than that, come on show them you are better than them, and not a vigilante (done violently and summarily, without recourse to lawful procedures taking the law in your own hands), that is what they want you to do, when you do that you are no better than them, you are doing just what they want, keeping hate going against each other, they don’t want the people to join in and fight against Hate, Racism, and Profiling. 

As long as you have these people promoting Hate, Racism, and Profiling in this Country, there will never be a bond with the American people to get this Country back for all American Citizens to live together.

UW campaign to educate cyclists about traffic laws

Why just UW, look around, Cyclists think that they own the road and all right of ways, look at how many have been killed or injured since this state has given them the  right of way on state roadways, these cycle riders, they think that they are exempt from these laws, they don’t have an endorsement on their driver’s license that all others have to have, and a yearly license that all vehicle’s have to have and pay for to use these roadways, they don’t even have a yearly license fee on their cycles to pay for their special lanes.

When are all these so-called college educated people going to learn that all laws have to be enforced, not just the ones that they want to enforce, but no they would rather make s new law and not enforce what they have now.

And now they want ride share and the transit system to carry their cycles for them, are they paying for that service to transport their cycles plus the rider fee, it is just like the environmentalist complaining about pollution from cars and truck, but what do they do, they load their cycles on their cars instead of riding them, they hang them on the back and cover up their license plates so if they do some thing wrong, you can not read their plates, which I thought was against the law to cover up your license plates, and tail lights.

I am getting tired of the way most blacks are being treated by other Blacks, they all want and need respect, but when you have others doing every thing they can to keep racial problems going in this Country, we will never get back to where most of the American people were living to where all people are equal.

Today with a black racist administration running this Country, not just the President and the Attorney General, but we have people who call themselves savior of all minorities who come and go from the White House also making decisions, they have set this Country back to the 1950’s.

If this story is true, not saying that it is not, but this is happening all over the United States today, good example, the American Flag, a Religious symbol, a Persons religion, you can go on and see it every where you turn, some one is being offended some where in this Country, by a persons Color, where they come from, it has to stops before it destroy this Country.

When you have Government who is not willing to stand up to these criticism and not go running to the Courts and telling them to take care of it, and when they do the go in favor of the person or the people who are complaining, and this is proof of a Country without a back bone, and when people do stand up to this they are called Racist and any name that they can think of.

Come on all Legal American Citizens get a back bone and stop this destruction of America by our Government and our Courts, and the Cry Babies who want every thing their way, this is America NOT a Country under a DICTATOR and it’s Czars.

Gun Control is not going to salve any thing, you have to go back to less violent Video games, and Programing like Smack Down, violent TV and Movies, and get back to EDUCATION, we never had bullies like this until they passed laws the let these kid get away with letting kids make accusation of child abuse because they got some thing that got taken away or grounded, if you have not noticed a child who is Abused is afraid to say any thing for fear of more punishment.

But I thought the people had the right to vote on what they want, not what some other Counties want, the people spoke, now the U.S. is looking to start another war, it is not out fight, it is theirs, if you came to this Country to be a Back Seat Driver to how these Countries are run, (then by all means go there and think you will be in drivers seat), and come here and hide and bring this Country in to your fights because you were cowards to stay and fight for your rights, this Country has enough of its own Cowards, we don’t need any more.

People Say they come to this Country to get away from a Dictator run Country, but when they get here they want this Country to bow to their every whim, and run just like where they came from, people this Country has a Constitution, leave it alone, and that goes for every one else.

If you don’t like out Constitution find your self another place to live and leave out country the way the Constitution is written.

People here in the United States talk big about what is happening in other Countries, and when the U.S. calls for troops, these people leave this Country, and then want amnesty to come back when it is over, I say that is what you call a trader to this Country, and should not get amnesty, they should be prosecuted as traders, just like any President, Cabinet member, or any one who helps promote violence against others, and who help terrorist with Money and guns.

They say that Pot is a gateway to harder drugs, but what is wrong with smoking pot, the same thing as smoking a Cigarette which is against the law to smoke in public, so why is smoking pot any different, it still has second-hand smoke which is actually more dangerous to others, HOW? by some one losing their job if they check positive to the drug, even if they don’t have any thing to do with it, and now they are saying that these E Cigarettes are a gateway to smoking, if you can smoke pot then you should be able to smoke a Cigarette without being hassled, or being over taxed to get you to stop smoking them, and saying they are a health hazard.

Make the laws for Pot the same as Alcohol, stop the special privileges, ether enforce the laws or pay the price from what will come, SUE the Government and the sellers (the people who sell, and regulate, and the person who breaks the law) of these products if the laws are not enforced.

Smoke and eat Pot, Drink Alcohol, But Smoke No Cigarettes, because it is a health hazard to you others, and addictive.

Government gets rid of alcohol control and turns it over to stores who can not control who is walking out the door with it, and the same thing is going to happen with Illegal Drugs, whether it be pot or any thing stronger, remember pot is a gateway drug.

Government College Educated Dumb Dumbs, sure know haw to pass laws, but when it comes time to enforce them they just pass another law, but do nothing about the ones that are on the books, except turn their heads and tell the courts to do the same.

The Government Agencies will do just like always, pass a law and then not enforce it just like all other laws that they have passed, and then when things backfire, they do some thing about it, like blame some one else for the failure of that law, even though they are the writers of the law that backfired in their face.

The way I see it is that the Government is opening up a way for money to be laundered and no one can do any thing about it, and you know that the Government won’t watch what these bank do after given the green light (remember they control the banks) to deal in illegal drugs and back terrorist groups, drugs could be stopped if the Government was stronger on enforcing these laws, but why should they, look how they are enforcing the law on illegals coming into this Country, so what makes you think that they are trying to stop illegal drugs from coming into this Country, they even gave a DRUG DEALER amnesty to bring in DRUGS to this Country while he was sending two border guards to jail for doing their jobs, and you think that our Government is not Corrupt when it comes to enforcing laws that they write and not enforce.

People believe these scientists when they are not sure what they are doing, but when it comes to your health, people think it is a lie.

Why do you think that kids of today are more sick than kids born before the 1960’s, birth was more natural with less drugs than today, today there are more drugs prescribed for people who are sicker now then years back.

They are trying to ban cigarettes because of health hazards of smoking, then they pass laws on where you can smoke, and then go out and say it is alright to smoke marijuana, and that there is nothing harmful in that, now the only thing harmful in that is that the states and the Government want a way to charge more taxes since they cut their nose off to get more taxes from people to get them quite, but the thing is that if they keep raising taxes, they won’t have any one here to pay them, and if they can get people high they will vote for any tax and the people won’t know what they voted for, Oh it is that way now, they just voted because the lie sounded good.

How about the women who will be around people smoking marijuana, what do you think will happen then, who will they blame when their children are born unhealthy and have to live on some type od drug or some machine, or how about brain-dead, then who will you blame and who will you believe, it will be you, you were the greedy one who had to have marijuana over cigarettes, in most cases drugs have a better chance of killing you quicker or some one else just like alcohol.

But go ahead keep believing that drugs are good for you, and then see what happens and where you end up when you can no longer do your job, and then do you think that the Government will help then.

I always make the comment about stop looking in the mirror and look on the other side and see what is happening to this Country, well some one asked me the other day, have you looked in the mirror lately, and I came back and told them that I have looked in the mirror, and nothing has changed in the last sixty-five years, the only thing that has changed is that I have wrinkles, I have gotten older and my hair has tuned gray and I have put on weight, so why do I want to spend time looking in the mirror, there is more important things going on in this Country on  the other side of that mirror that should be taken care of, priority one, protecting our Freedom and Country.

If you have not noticed lately, this Country is becoming turned into a Dictator Controlled Country, is this true?  yes, while you were spending all your time in front of the mirror taking pictures of your self and posting them on the internet, this Country is being taken over by a run away Government and taking away your rights of freedom set up by the U.S. Constitution, they are bending over and letting Environmentalist, Special Interest Groups, Terrorists, and people who think that it does not fit their Lifestyle, so every one has to go by what they say.

This is for the Government pin heads and Environmentalist who are so over educated the they left their brains in their underwear when the make all these comments, any one with a brain can see that it is nothing but a scam to make money, not for the average American.

Go to any state and look at what the Government and the Environmentalist don’t tell you, go to Texas, California, Washington DC and Washington State, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, you can go on and on and see where this Global Warming is happening, they are sitting on their brains, other words what they are tooting stinks (Beans for Brains).

And then you have These Environmentalist complaining about how cars and trucks are polluting, while in the mean time they get laws passed to ride their Bicycles on public streets and special lanes just for them, and they don’t have to pay for them like a person riding a Motor Cycle or driving a Truck without a special endorsement on their Drivers license, and they don’t have to pay for a yearly License Plate and Tab like every one else who drives on the Streets and Highways, so who is paying for these free rights for them to tie up these roadways.

The first place you start is, Higher Gas Taxes, Higher fees on your car or cars to license them, and then in the mean time you are subsidizing Mass Transit, are they paying to ride their Bicycles freely, bigger and bigger highways, and we still don’t have a Transit system that can support it’s self, we have two per County, where is this Transit System that they keep talking about, could it be in these bicycle lanes and bigger Highways, but yet Environmentalist get away without paying for their special use of Bicycle only lanes or use of all roadways, make them pay just like motor cycle riders do, a written and riding test, an endorsement and a fee to have it on their drivers license, no license, make them get one, if they drop it they can not ride on any roadways or trails (that is all public Lands).

Where is this Transit System they talk about in these Pictures, is that 21 lane highway what they are talking about as Mass Transit????? That is Global Warming at it’s Best.

Is this What we have to look forward to in the coming years, hit and miss health care, sign your life away to go to the Doctor, nothing against these Doctors, but a language problem to under stand what you are saying about your problem.

 How many doctors have or are going to give up their practice because of Obama and the Democrats mandatory health care scam, and how many Insurance Companies are going to close their doors if the Democrats health care does not bail them out for their losses, while sticking it to the American people for profit, (oh I mean GREED) by them all, Obama, Democrats and some Republicans.

Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and AARP said that you had to have insurance, but they did not tell any one that you can not have your own insurance, you had to have one that they picked out for you, now that goes against what they said al along, they broke their own law that every one had to have insurance, but the thing all along was for their own profit and a bailout for any insurance company that went along with their scam.

Now if they give the Insurance Companies a bailout, are they going to give a bailout to the Doctors who will be losing  as well, there is going to be a lot of profit made from Obamacare scam, off the backs of the American people.

Now what saying that after they get approved to use the banks that they don’t start using deals on the side to launder money illegally, or start using stolen credit cards, or from identity theft, all they are doing is opening up a can of worms that will come back and bite every one in the ass, and you know who the losers will be, and do you think that the ones who allowed this to get started in the first place will admit that they were wrong to let it start, what do they tell you all the time, BUYER BEWARE, you are responsible for what you do, well if they took the time to enforce the laws instead more laws they don’t enforce, they are worried about how much more taxes raise, or what they can do for them selves.

And how many kids are going to get hooked on this, is it not the object to keep kids off the use drugs and not get them started, and don’t say that kids won’t get ahold of them, today you have kids in grade school on drugs they say they can not get, the same goes for Alcohol, how many Minors are caught using Alcohol that the powers to be, say that they are regulated to where the kids can not get ahold of it, Government stands on their heads when they talk, and the shit get pretty deep before they stop talking. 

They don’t want kids to start smoking Cigarettes, but it is alright for them to smoke marijuana and eat food laced with it, what’s next, open up to all illegal drugs, ENFORCE THE LAWS, but it is the last thing they want to do, it could hurt their PROFIT if they did.

Mayor Como has it right, medical marijuana should be only for patients suffering from cancer, glaucoma and other serious diseases, not just because they have a backache, every one has a backache of some kind, but medical marijuana was supposed to be for terminally ill people (not recreational use) where drugs did not help, or it took to many to relieve the pain which could be worse than death, they just want to relieve the pain while they are still alive, not so stoned on pain killers that they don’t know if they are dead or alive.

Major Hospitals should be the only ones to prescribe marijuana and prove that person is terminally ill and need it, and put the hospital on the hot seat for giving it to any one who is not terminally ill, and could lose their license, and if that person gives it to some one else, then they lose that right to get medical marijuana, and then they are banned from having any marijuana in their possession.

But today the law got a bunch of druggies, and Yuppies in Government, so any sensible program will be ignored for more costly programs to be passed without looking at the out come before any mistakes are made, once made then try to reverse them, but they all went to college which shows how much they learned other than dumb and dumber, they sure did not learn any thing else. And to make it worse, they want to lace food you eat with it, now this is where food labeling should be mandatory, and a ban to stop spiking food with drugs of any kind.

Now that Government has opened the door to marijuana, what is the next drug they are going to try to get legalized, give them an inch and they will want a mile, and there will be no end to it, it has already started with the Environment to where jobs have been lost, you can not solve any problem with people out of work to solve and work on the problem, but a hand full Environmental Terrorist think that they are the solution and not the problem, how many farms have been closed whether it be cattle or produce, Environmentalist and EPA, they are the biggest problem in this Country for that and jobs.

Why is it now that they are worried about cigarette taxes, they are the ones who are trying to stamp out cigarettes and people smoking them for health reasons, they are the ones who are cutting their own throats for loss of their precious Taxes, no one else is trying to stop people from smoking other than two-faced people who want clean air when they go out on their booze and pot parties in bars, restaurants, and parks, but yet it is all right to pass a law to let people smoke pot, now what is the differences, they both pollute the clean air act, and bad for kids to be around as they want you to believe, because they both put out second-hand smoke, that is why they have smoking bans around the Country, SECOND-HAND SMOKE.

So after passing laws to raise taxes to get people to quite smoking, why are they so worried about the loss of tax that knew they would lose when they raised taxes on Tobacco products, that is what you call cutting your nose off to spite your face.

These Idiots have not learned yet that when you raise taxes, people find ways around to not pay them, instead of looking for a solution to the problem they just keep raising taxes and think that will solve all the problem, and eventually you are looking to file for Bankruptcy, because they got greedy and could not pay their debts, but yet they all tell the people to live with in your means and not spend more the you receive. (hypocrites never learn)

As we go into another year, discrimination keeps getting closer to the 1950, but no one seems to see that, they only see what is happening for some sports game, if people put as much energy in to protecting this Country as they do for some sports game, we would not have Government taking over all Legal Americans lives.

Where discrimination comes in is Government is passing laws for some and crucifying others, a good example is the First Amendment, Freedom of Speech when some one makes a comment about Gays, Minorities, they want to plaster it all over the news, or take them to court, but when it is on the other side it is not alright.

By doing this, the Government is telling these people go after any one who says any thing bad about you, or denies you service, when did it become a law that you do not have the right to follow your beliefs or the right to deny service or say how you feel personally, if that is the case then NO ONE can deny you service or say any thing about any one, if that is the case, then you have to stop these double standards laws, and enforce laws to all, no exceptions for who you are.

This Double Standard is also used when it comes to HATE Groups, like the CCC, the Skin Heads, or any one that goes after any one or Group, but when it comes to a Church Group that does what these other groups do, they are not classified as a hate group by the Government, this means that out Government is out of control, but what do the people do about it, nothing but complain about not making enough money.

If the people would break that mirror in front of them they would see that this Country is slowly being taken over by Dictators and why, because people are so wrapped up at looking at them selves in the mirror to see what is going on, Americans have to start taking care of this Country before it is lost, once gone always gone. 

This is what America has become, give me give me money, money more money so I can buy, buy, buy, then go out and file Bankruptcy because you did not give me more money to buy the fanciest thing on the market, and by this greed is now starting to bring down this Country by Tax, Tax, and more Taxes, you have people out there scraping for food and a place to call home that they can afford, while the greedy keep wanting more, NOW we have a Government that wants more control over the people while letting the rich have their way.

Merry Christmas and a Safe New Years to you all, and just remember after the first of the year, the more you make the more you will pay the Government Insurance Company, and the IRS for Penalties.

As they say things can not sustain itself without money, that same thing goes for people in private life, you do not have to be a business to be able to survive without money, it is happening to Americans every day, and they are not the ones at fault, society is the cause.

People who are exposing these problems of what is going on, are being called trouble makers, trouble makers are the people who won’t listen to what is happening, and by doing this they are doing just what the Government wants, they want the people to turn against each other, and this is what is   happening.

They are using IRS, FBI, EPA, Environmentalists, Special Interest Groups, Churches, Foreign Interest (allowing Terror groups to come in as refuges, some have been caught) and they are using the Race Card every time some one does some thing that does not go their way, this is used by both sides, and by doing this, it puts more pressure on the people and getting them fighting each other, and this list of people know that this will cause the biggest problem and get them fighting so the Government and the rich can keep Americans not trusting each other, the people who you should not trust, are these same people YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST.

We the people should be trusting the people they work with each day, not the people who say that they are working for you, and if you have noticed they are not, they are only working for them selves, so we the people have to get together and take this Country back and put it back in the hands of the United States Constitution, and not in the hands of the people who are trying to DESTROY IT.

As they say people are their own worst enemy, and this is so today, they are afraid to trust the people they work with, which I do believe is true but you can not deny it, but we the people have to get over it and start to think about what you want to leave your Kids and Grandkids, WHAT FUTURE do you want to leave them, do you want them living under control of a Dictator and living under the total control of Suppression like the Novel of Ebenezer Scrooge, Dickens’ Christmas Carol.

As I go on, I agree that we are headed towards the bankruptcy of this country, just like the Citizens who will be in line headed forward to seeing a Judge in the next Ten Years because the more people who can not find a job, why can’t they, who is blocking them from finding a job, and why are we still Discriminating of all Legal American Citizens to get a good Education, Jobs, good Health Care, not free Care.

When it comes to jobs, who has control of who works and who does not, THE RICH, who control who gets hired and how, again the Rich, where does Racial Discrimination start, the people who CONTROL THE JOB, SO, who should be Prosecuted for Discrimination, not the people, but the people who set the rules of hiring, then on the other hand, unless the Companies start hiring people to work and cut back on MACHINES, there will not be any jobs to go to, and by this there will not be an income to support buying power for products and money to keep this Country Operating.

Watching Presidential Powers and The Constitution, the same thing was happening as usual, Democrats got up and went through the same thing, Name Calling, Race Card, and this is the problem every time some thing does not go their way, we as American Citizens need to get rid of this, we need to ban all Special Applications and make it that all Legal Americans are Equal, and no Special Privileges for any Legal U.S. Citizen.

This will be the last time I will be able to make any Comments, I am having to shut down my Internet Connection that keeps me from going stir crazy, I have done this since 2003 after a stroke, I know you will say good, well, I am one of those who got stung with Obamacare, and he says no one will get hurt with this plan (to take over), well it is not just hurting the Middle and Lower Class, it is also hurting the Sick and Elderly.

Death With Dignity, And Death With Out Dignity

Government and Special Interest Groups think they have the right to tell people how to live, the only person that has that right is that person themselves, but the Churches, Government, and Special Interest have gone to the point to say who can Die with Dignity and who can not, a good example of this is, a person who is being kept alive because it is in human to let them Die With Dignity.

Look at the other hand, now you have a baby who is not given that choice to live with dignity because the Government now wants to make the Taxpayer pay for abortions, not the people who want it done, and Seniors are being kept alive by the Taxpayer, and are being told they don’t know what is good for them, so you must suffer until you die, but why is a person being kept alive on life support instead of letting them die, but on the other hand a baby is not allowed to live.

When it comes down to it, why are the Taxpayers being held responsible to pay for Birth Control, and Abortion, keeping people alive when they are dying, and Killing Babies, should be the responsibility of the individual person to pay for it themselves, not the Taxpayers.

Government keeps a person alive until they have exhausted all their funds to a nursing home, and then does nothing about protecting them from abuse, and the same thing goes for babies, they don’t protect their right to live, if a person wants to get Pregnant, take Birth Control, or have an abortion, it is not up to the taxpayer to fun it.

When it comes to it, no one has the right to tell people how to run their lives, that goes for the Government, Churches, or Special Interest, and that is how it is going today, they think that they know better than you, every one is different and has different beliefs, no one person is the same.

To the Greed of the Government Agencies, this Country is creating the problems of so-called Global Warming, who is really the fault of Global Warming? Look around and you can see without a doubt, ALL Government Agencies, why because of their Greed for more money and taxes, why would you say that?

Lets take a look at what they are doing to this Country, look around, land is being plowed under for Ethanol, more Tax money and less food products to be available for people to put on the table around the world, more Buildings being built for increase in of Property taxes from homes and Warehouses, now what does that do to land that use to be covered with Trees, Grass and Farms that produced a food product which is being Plowed under, or Built on, so less CO2 Filtering, and Less Oxygen produced.

So where do you put the blame? One, you put it on the Government, and Two, People who have to have a new home every Two to Three years, these people can not live in a home like they did years back, and Three, more Concrete and Asphalt that covers what Buildings don’t cover, that is the biggest problem that is the cause of Global Warming, but as you can see, it is Greed that is the lead indicator for Money, so if we get back to nature with more Vegetation and less blaming the people, we can stop it without Taxes, just MORE Planting of foliage to filter out CO2.

United States Every Day Looks More Like What Cuba Was Doing

I could not believe what I was reading when I saw this article, I thought it was a story about the direction that the United States is taking.

If you look around, you can see farm land being taken over by Taxes and large Land Investors to build more homes, so that the YUPPY Class can move out of the cities into $7 and 8 or 9 hundred Thousand dollar homes, and any one who get in to their way, they close them down, more farm land has been Closed because these people don’t like the smell that comes from these farms that are still in operation, they eventually get them closed down, what is next, total Import of our food that does not always come in safe to eat, and who’s fault is that, CDC and the FDA, better known as the Federal Government and their meddling and not doing their JOB, they are more worried about ruffling some ones feathers then Food Safety.

Like it says, the country is importing around 60 percent of its food, what is the United States doing when it comes to Importing it’s food, we know that when it comes to contaminated foods, the United States throws all the blame on U.S. Farms until some one gets the true story.

First Sentence:  Cuba rolled out a master plan this week to reform food production and sales that definitively ends the state’s monopoly  on distribution and replaces many rules that hamper  farmers and consumers, does that not sound like what the U.S. is starting to monopolize on here in America telling Businesses, Farmers, and the people what they are going to Grow, prepare, eat, and what Country it will come from.

Look at what it did to the Tomato farmers here in the U.S. a few years back when it was really from Mexico, but look what it did to the coast of buying Tomatoes, and we are still paying for it to-day, how many farm are closed today because of it, and now the Government want to control what you are going to eat, so how many people are going to lose their job because of the Federal Government and the President and his wife meddling into the American people’s lives.

A good example of meddling in people’s lives, is the Affordable Care Act, look how many people are losing their Insurance, and are now uninsured, and a lot of them will not be able to afford, and how many are losing or having their hours of work cut.

There are a lot of things that could have been done with out forcing people into an insurance with out a good plan, for one they could have said I won’t go into full details, but all they had to do was, Existing Conditions for one, but do what the Republicans said, allow Insurance Companies cross state lines, and regulate them which they were not, and not let the states say who can operate there, like Washington State, some Insurance Companies can only operate in certain Counties, not the whole state, but there is a lot that can be done with out Forcing people into some Government Controlled Program.

When it comes to the rights to People and Government, they should be able to have a say on how the laws are used.

This is where this Country is so screwed up today, you have to many people making decisions by putting so many regulations in a law when passed, this same thing is happening in the Affordable Care Act, only a hand full of people have a say in how it is going to be, and no one else has a say, it should be all Americans have a say in how it will be implemented.

Like Obamacare Democrats are the only ones who can say what is going to happen, no one else has a say, not even the American people who the law is about to put in the poor house, and now with this Pot Law in Washington and Colorado the rest of the U.S. wants this law passed, but yet these same people voted to ban smoking in public places because of health reasons, so now they think that it is all right to smoke pot thinking that it is healthier then Cigarettes, so now look at the hypocrites who banned smoking think it is ok for pot. 

The majority of the people should have a say not a minority, and that is the problem today, a hand full of people can tell you what is good for you without asking, or you don’t know what is good for you like I do, what happen to a vote of the Majority when involves the good of the people, and what they want.

Obama and the Democrats are a good example of a Government take over of the Country, and telling the people that they are now going to tell you what you are going to do and no questions will be asked or answered, and if you don’t follow you will be penalized, if not Imprisoned.

Why don’t the people have a say where this pot can be Grown and Sold? It their neighborhood where the problem will start and become a problem with violence, and look at this law since it was passed, they have more minors using since passage, and that same goes for drinking now that the State went Private, so how should have a say, just because it is a state law, that does not say that Local have to abide by it, it is these local Governments that have to answer to the people when the State or Federal pass unsafe laws, I have a good idea, lets put this pot problem in the neighborhoods of the politicians who let it go on the ballot to be voted on, they want it so let them worry about the problems in their backyard.

OLYMPIA, Wash.  — Washington state attorneys are exploring whether local governments are allowed to ban businesses who will participate in a legal marijuana market.

The office of Attorney General Bob Ferguson issued a noticed Tuesday seeking input on the question raised by the agency tasked with establishing the system. The Liquor Control Board is asking whether state law prevents local governments from banning a marijuana producer, processor or retailer from locating in the area.

Some local governments such as Pierce County have been exploring whether to ban recreational marijuana businesses.

Voters approved an initiative last year to legalize marijuana. The Liquor Control Board has been developing regulations for a system for businesses to grow, process and sell the product.

[“According to Leeds City Schools Public Policy, parents or legal guardians who do not want corporal punishment to be administered to their child/children must inform the principal of the school on an annual basis.” ]   IF PARENTS were doing THEIR JOB raising their kids, and not the Schools or the Street, they would not be getting into trouble.

Now if the parents don’t want to see their Child punished for being out of line and unruly, then they should be suspended from school for one week on the first offence, if the parents don’t do any thing about it and the child continues, then suspend them for a month and make the parents pay a fine for any Damage or Problems that occur why they were being punished. It is the parents responsibly to raise their Children NOT the Schools, so parents should be held Financially responsible for what their Kids do if they don’t want them punished. No punishment mean that they can away with it and continue with it.

If these kids are disruptive and causing problems then they should be picked up by the police and put in child detention and go before a judge, and the parents pay court cost .

This why there is so much problems in children are occurring today, and why these kids are running free on the streets with no supervision or punishment when they get in trouble, they want the schools to teach these kids between the difference from right and wrong but can not punish them, so they know that they can get away with what ever they want and nothing will happen, because they even know that their parents wont even punish them, and then they wonder why these kids are in trouble, it is time for the parents to do their job and take care of them and not some one else.

But these parents are the first ones to complain about the problems these kids are in to and saying that some one should do some thing about it.

Why do you think Kids are in so much trouble today, because of this type of thinking: Spanking Kids May Cause Mental Disorders in Adulthood, But there is punishment within reason.

I don’t know about any one else, but this should be a crime punishable by death same as if you go out and kill some one in cold blood, PLUS, is it your right under the FIRST amendment to Kill a Bald Eagle just to protest, last I heard it was illegal to kill one any time, why is the Flag any different, it is the Symbol of this Country, it should be respected and not for some one to shit on.

To me that Flag means one thing, FREEDOM that this Country started in the beginning of this Country, and the people who died to keep it free, this also includes the Native Americans, who later were lied to, and to fly without being defaced in any way, other than being replaced when worn out, and when done by the proper people designated by the Government, and not just by any one.

If this Country allows the right to free speech to be used any way they want, then we will be no better than the wars going on in the Foreign countries today over who has control, you want a Civil War here then keep allowing people to do what ever they want, because the laws can never be enforced because of free speech rule.

This Country has to draw the line and stop pampering bleeding hearts when people break the law, and we have to send people to prison for PUNISHMENT, not LUXURY, go back to the chain gangs and make them work at hard labor, then maybe they won’t want to got to Jail or Prison if they knew they were not going to get pampered.

With the president poised to strike in Syria and the Congress set to vote on the issue the week of Sept. 9, the debate about U.S. military intervention in the two-year-old civil war is already happening amongst the American public.

Some Americans have made their voices known to their representatives, with many saying the U.S. should stay out of the conflict, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll.

In the poll, only 20% said the U.S. should take action, although that was up from 9% last week. Even if it’s clear the Assad regime used chemical weapons on civilians, only 29% said the U.S. should intervene.

That sentiment appears to be mirrored with veterans and members of the military, who have been tweeting to Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), as well as personally emailing me their thoughts* after Business Insider published two letters from troops on Saturday.

While President Obama has repeatedly denied there would be “boots on the ground,” and the strike would be limited — likely using cruise missiles from ships far away — many were fearful of the possibility of further involvement.

“I’m a U.S. Air Force vet who spent a solid 6 years shuttling between Afghanistan and Iraq, doing everything from combat airdrops to medevacs to hauling flag-draped coffins,” wrote one servicemember in an email, who also mentioned travel to 38 countries in that time. “What we do not need is another war, and we certainly do not need any further involvement in a civil war where our objective isn’t clear, and our allies aren’t really our allies.”

Outrage was largely shared by most over chemical weapons usage in the conflict — the Aug. 21 gassing of civilians near Damascus killed more than 1,400, many of them children — but many servicemembers expressed questions over any specific U.S. national security interest.

“The U.S. has stood by idly while many countries have massacred themselves in a civil war. This should not be any different,” wrote one active-duty Marine who said he had deployed five times to Iraq or Afghanistan. “The method of their war should not make any difference, killing is killing. As long as the conflict stays within their borders, we do not have any business interfering.”

“This country has a fairly recent history of sticking our noses where it doesn’t belong,” wrote another. “Since Vietnam, America has used other nations’ transgressions as a reason to go in and set up shop for our government’s own reasons. This sort of behavior needs to end. We are not a world police.”

Still, while many who have written to Business Insider have voiced opposition to military action (the tally was roughly 50-2 against), there were some who believed good could be done in the country with a more robust response.

“Dropping a few missiles, without any clear idea of what type of war we’re really getting into will put us on the wrong side of a bad and worse dilemma … ” wrote one Marine veteran of the Iraq war. “I’d like to see a broader ‘smarter’ strategy for dealing with Syria than dropping a few tomahawk missiles with ‘no objective’ but to punish Assad.”

As both lawmakers and the public remain skeptical, it seems the Obama administration has an uphill battle ahead of any vote to authorize the use of military force. That sentiment was echoed by the International Crisis Group, a well-respected organization that released a statement on Sunday that said limited strikes were “largely divorced from the interests of the Syrian people” while calling for a larger political and diplomatic solution.

Here we go again, just another way to take over another Country when they don’t EVEN know for sure who is really behind it, this sounds just like the Iraq war, throw some one out so they can put in who they want to run the Country, this happen before and look what happen, they went back a couple of years later and took them back out because they did not do what they wanted them to do.

Now here we go again, Obama want his Muslim Brother Hood put in power here just like he did to put them in office in Egypt, it is time that this Country stays out of these wars in other countries unless the are on their way here to this country by Air, Land, or Water, and not their land, this land through Canada, Mexico or the Oceans.

It looks like they are sticking their heads up their asses again to put some one else in to power, when they do not have positive prof that it was not some one else trying to take over that country and blame on the current people in power of that Country.

Obama is going to do just as he has in the past, he does not care if the Republicans, or the Democrats will authorize it, he will do as always, do it with out them with an Executive Order.

WASHINGTON (AP) — For more than a week, the White House had been barreling toward imminent military action against Syria. But President Barack Obama’s abrupt decision to instead ask Congress for permission left him with a high-risk gamble that could devastate his credibility if no action is ultimately taken in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack that crossed his own “red line.”

The stunning reversal also raises questions about the president’s decisiveness and could embolden leaders in Syria, Iran, North Korea and elsewhere, leaving them with the impression of a U.S. president unwilling to back up his words with actions.

The president, in a hastily announced statement Saturday in the White House Rose Garden, argued that he did in fact have the power to act on his own. But faced with the prospect of taking action opposed by many Americans, the commander in chief tried to shift the burden and instead round up partners on Capitol Hill to share in that responsibility.

“While I believe I have the authority to carry out this military action without specific congressional authorization, I know that the country will be stronger if we take this course, and our actions will be even more effective,” Obama said. “We should have this debate.”

The consequences for Obama’s turnabout could be sweeping, both at home and abroad. If Congress votes against military action, it would mark a humiliating defeat for a second-term president already fighting to stay relevant and wield influence in Washington. It could also weaken his standing internationally at a time when there are already growing questions about the scope of American influence, particularly in the Arab world.

But the White House sees potentially positive political implications in punting the strike decision to Congress. Obama could make good on the promises he made as a senator and presidential candidate, when he called for restraint and congressional consultation by White House’s seeking military force. And with the American public weary of war and many opposed to even modest military action against Syria, Obama could share with Congress the burden of launching an attack.

An NBC News poll conducted last week suggests the use of chemical weapons has not shifted public opinion in favor of taking military action against Syria. About 50 percent said the U.S. should not take military action against the Syrian government in response to the use of chemical weapons, while 42 percent said the U.S. should. Just 21 percent say military action against Syria is in the U.S. national interest.

Obama’s advisers wouldn’t say what the president will do if Congress does not approve military action. If he presses on with military action despite their opposition, he would likely cast Congress as obstructionists allowing an autocrat to kill civilians without consequences.

“Here’s my question for every member of Congress and every member of the global community: What message will we send if a dictator can gas hundreds of children to death in plain sight and pay no price?” Obama asked Saturday.

It’s unclear how effective that approach would be given that Obama himself has been deeply reluctant to get involved in Syria’s lengthy civil war. More than 100,000 people have died in more than two years of clashes between the government and rebels seeking to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad. But Obama declared last year that the one thing that would cross his “red line” would be if Assad deployed his stockpiles of chemical weapons.

U.S. officials say that has now happened multiple times this year, most recently on Aug. 21 in the Damascus suburbs. According to the Obama administration, more than 1,400 people were killed by the deadly gases, including 426 children.

For Obama, the stakes for responding after the most recent attack were already heightened, not only because of the scope, but also because of the scant response from the White House when Assad used chemical weapons earlier this year. While Obama approved shipments of light weaponry and ammunition for the rebel forces fighting Assad, the bulk of the arms are yet to arrive.

Throughout much of the last week, it appeared Obama was ready to make good on his promises to act in the face of chemical weapons use. Five Navy destroyers armed with Tomahawk cruise missiles were put on standby in the Mediterranean Sea. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel declared that the military was “ready to go” once Obama gave the order. And the president dispatched Secretary of State John Kerry twice last week to make a vigorous and emotional case for a robust response to a reluctant public.

As the week dragged on, Obama’s international backing began to erode. Russia again opposed action against Syria, this time during private discussions involving the five permanent U.N. Security Council members. NATO declared that the alliance would not launch coordinated military action. And in the strongest blow for the White House, Britain’s Parliament voted against military action, a stunning defeat for Prime Minister David Cameron, a key ally who had expected to join Obama in taking military action.

Despite the setbacks, Obama and his team were prepared to move forward without any authorization from the U.N. and Capitol Hill. But on Friday, aides said the president simply changed his mind. After a long walk around the White House’s grounds with his chief of staff, Obama summoned some of his top aides and told them he now wanted to hold off on launching an attack until Congress had its say.

In shifting the debate to Capitol Hill, Obama is ensuring that a military strike will be pushed off for at least another week. Lawmakers aren’t due back from their summer recess until Sept. 9. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said he expected the House to consider the force resolution that week. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said he, too, will hold a vote no later than the week of Sept. 9, with public hearings beginning next week.

Even before Congress decides, Obama will have to directly confront the international implications of his decision. He’s set to travel abroad next week for a visit to Sweden and a meeting of world leaders in St. Petersburg, Russia.

There, he’ll come face-to-face with Russian President Vladimir Putin, one of Assad’s strongest supporters. Putin, in a pointed jab, made a plaintive plea for Obama to take more time to consider the full implications of a strike on Syria, appealing, he said, not to another world leader, but to a Nobel Peace laureate.

Fight for Civil Rights, Not Against

People are out there fighting to bring about and end to Discrimination, but as long as there are ones who don’t want to see it and are always trying to keep people fighting among them selves, you will never stop it, it will take the Courts, (Haven to Bid) to go after the people who are keeping Discrimination going.

You have to many hate groups and individual’s that want to keep it going so they can get their own way and to profit off some ones else’s pain.

The Courts are like the Democrats, the truth or not they are going to follow who they are for, until they start enforcing the laws that are on the books and stop favoring sides, you will never stop Discrimination against any one, no matter who you are.

It is ashamed that Martin Luther King had to Die for what he believed in, and was being stabbed in the back by traders the whole time by others that said they were behind him and agreed with what he was doing, why don’t the courts go after these people who do not want to see Discrimination end and treat them as terrorist.

But look at this part, they talk about Trayvon dying and he was unarmed, Now look at how many have died and were not armed every day by a person of color and nothing is done about it, but if it involves a white person who does it, all hell breaks loose, now why are they not trying to protect themselves from the ones that are giving them the bad name, I would call that Discriminating against them selves by not standing up against the ones are doing it.

Every year Hundreds dies from a Gun a Knife, by Drugs, Drunk Drivers, and a few other things, but it is the white person who is the blame of it all, or it is the law because it did not protect them, it is nothing but the people who are the cause of all this, by not standing up against it, why, because they are to busy screaming Discrimination to see that these laws are not being enforced and they are letting them off with a warning, or a slap on the hand and say don’t do it again.

They even go out and do a songs to tell people not to squeal on any one who commits a crime, unless it is a white person that does the crime, now that is what you call Discrimination.

You have people praising Mr. King for what he was doing, and at the same time they were trying to stop it, come on people we can all do this if we stop the people who are profiting for them selves by opposing what Martin Luther King stud for.

March to focus on continued fight for civil rights

WASHINGTON (AP) — Alice Long planned months ago to use vacation time to travel from Huntsville, Ala., to the 50th anniversary events for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.

Long, a NASA administrative assistant, brought along her grandchildren to give them a close-up view of African-American and civil rights history that she said isn’t being taught in schools.

“I’m here supporting this march because there are so many injustices in this country,” Long, 59, said on the eve of Saturday’s march from the Lincoln Memorial to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. “I’m very concerned about it because I have a 5-year-old grandson and a 13-year-old granddaughter.”

Marchers began arriving early Saturday to gather on the National Mall, many staking out their spots as the sun rose in a clear sky over the Capitol. The NAACP passed out signs reminiscent of the 1963 event expressing reasons for the march five decades later: “We March To Protect Voting Rights,” proclaimed one of the placards.

Organizers have planned for about 100,000 people to participate in the event, which is the precursor to the actual anniversary of the Aug. 28, 1963, march. It will be led by the Rev. Al Sharpton and King’s son Martin Luther King III. After several speeches, participants will walk the half-mile from the Lincoln Memorial to the 2-year-old memorial.

On the day of the anniversary, President Barack Obama will speak from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, the same place King stood when he delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech. Obama will be joined by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. Churches and groups have been asked to ring bells at 3 p.m. Wednesday, marking the exact time King spoke.

On Friday, a coalition of black leaders issued what they said is the 21st century agenda for the nation as it marks the watershed civil rights event that helped bring about the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act. The 1963 march drew some 250,000 to the National Mall and ushered in the idea of massive, nonviolent demonstrations.

The leaders named economic parity, equity in education, voting rights, health care access and criminal justice reform as national policy priorities.

National Urban League President Marc Morial said the agenda was “by no means a complete agenda” but one that can strengthen the unity among the coalition’s members and a way to go forward in a new civil rights movement.

Throughout the buildup to the anniversary march, leaders have been acknowledging and honoring civil rights progress spurred by the 1963 march. But they also have bemoaned what they see as an attack on that progress since King delivered his stirring speech.

They cite the Supreme Court ruling that effectively erased a key anti-discrimination provision of the Voting Rights Act; persistent unemployment among African-Americans, which is about double that of white Americans; and the shooting death of unarmed black teenage Trayvon Martin and the acquittal of George Zimmerman.

Organizers of Saturday’s march hoped this year’s event would serve to inspire people again to educate themselves about issues they see as making up the modern civil rights struggle.

“It’s very difficult to stomach the fact that Trayvon wasn’t committing any crime. He was on his way home from the store,” Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon’s mother, said Friday as she prepared to participate in the march. “Don’t wait until it’s at your front door. Don’t wait until something happens to your child. … This is the time to act now. This is the time to get involved.”

Battle Over Jobs And who Can Have Them

If this is what the Union wants then charge them any and all delays and over runs in the cast of the project, not the Taxpayer.

This project is not just being paid for by Seattle, it is being paid for by all of Americas taxpayers, and if there are added cost then the Seattle mayor and Seattle City Council should also be held responsible for cost any cost over runs, this should be for any projects that is being done, and all contractors should not get a bonus for getting done sooner, if done sooner that means that it was done by cutting corner, and any added cost should be the responsibility of the contractor who falsely under biding just to get the job, and these people who are supposed to be qualified to over see the project should be fired.

If a person wants to get picky then Long Shore Man should not be able to do any thing that is on land, that means driving trucks to move containers, loading or unloading ships or moving them around the port because they are on land, not on water, they should not be able to handle any thing in a Warehouse, that would fall under another union, here again it is ON LAND, so what gives them the right to take jobs away from other unions or organizations.

Like they say Long Shore Men are on the WATER not LAND, they would scream bloody murder if the Teamsters Complained that they were taking their jobs, Crane Operators should fall under Operating Engineers because it is on land, not on the water, how about the people who move these products on the water from place to place, see it can go both ways.

Things could get pretty ugly if all the unions complained about others taking their jobs, and they would have the right to, just like what is happening now.

Contractor should be able to hire who ever they want with out Harassment from any one, I think this is what the Government calls Profiling, and saying who can work and who can not, Profiling is not just Racial, it is any one who is Denied or Excepted.

Now how many are going to lose their job for the sake of people who already have a job, and are greedy and want to have control of who can get a job and who will not, because they are not in a union, now this is harassment and profiling backed by our Government Agencies.

Longshoremen picketing Seattle tunnel site

Members of the longshoreman’s union are picketing at the site of the new State Route 99 tunnel project under Seattle and blocking workers from going in.
The International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 19 said it secured a deal with Seattle Tunnel Partners to do work on the tunnel terminals. Two-to-four of the jobs were supposed to be union jobs.
The ILWU says that agreement is not being upheld, so they are picketing and not allowing workers to enter the site. The two sides have been in negotiations for the past week, according to ILWU.

There was no immediate response from Seattle Tunnel Partners.

Butter cow doused with fake blood

This just ONE of the types of groups that run this Country today , and the courts and Government let it happen, even though there are laws against Vandalism, Hate Groups, and Harassment, and not one of these are protected by the Constitution.

But it seem that all these Groups have protection from the Government and the Courts, because when certain groups create HATE, VANDALISM, TOTAL DISRESPECT for the laws that are on the books, Governments and the Courts do NOTHING to enforce them, just make a new law.

When it comes to enforcing the law, these people stand and Quote the Constitution for their benefit, just like they did when it came to the American Flag a few years back, where they said under the Constitution that it was ok to BURN the American under your right to freedom speech, even though it is a Capital Offence to Desecrate, Deface or Burn the American Flag, and now we have a President who Swore to Protect and serve this Country and its Flag, WON”T even Honor it unless he is backed in to the wall, he turn his back on it when it is being Honored. 

I bet he would He would Honor this,
the Muslim Brotherhood Flag.

 

As long as we have a Government and Courts who will not enforce the laws we have now, new laws are not going to do any thing about the Laws that are being violated  now, except fill another book of unenforced laws of this Country, so this kind of thing will never be stopped, unless ALL these laws are ENFORCED.

Butter cow doused with fake blood at Iowa State Fair

An animal rights group has claimed responsibility for dousing the famed Iowa State Fair butter cow with fake blood.

The sculpture was covered with red paint early Sunday, fair officials said, and the phrase “freedom for all” was scrawled on a viewing window in front of the cow.

A group called Iowans for Animal Liberation sent an image of the vandalism to the Des Moines Register, claiming responsibility.

“After dismantling the lock to the refrigerated case housing the Butter Cow with a screwdriver, we doused the entire butter sculpture in red paint,” the group wrote in an email to the Register. “The paint represents the blood of 11 billion animals murdered each year in slaughterhouses, egg farms, and dairies.”

Police are investigating the incident.

“The butter cow is something people come to the fair to see,” Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Scott Bright told the newspaper.

The annual fair, which began in 1854, attracts more than 1 million visitors a year. It’s also a popular quadrennial stop for presidential candidates hoping to catch the attention of Iowa voters, who traditionally hold the first in the nation voting contests.

More than 100,000 people attended Sunday, fair officials said. The 10-day event runs through Aug. 18.

Back to the 18th Century, Banning What You Can Say!

When people came to America, they did it to get away from tyranny and dictators, now speed a head to America today, laws are going back to earlier days when this Country was getting started.

Today this Country thinks that they are in merry old England, France, Germany, you name the Country and you will see what this Country is looking like, go to Seattle, England puts up a Ferris Wheel on the River, Seattle just had to spend money to put one up on Puget Sound, that money could have been used for public safety, like pot holes, drive down many streets in this Country and you will see Traffic Circles, or an accident looking for a place to happen.

Take these States, they want tourist to come and spend money, so what do they do, well Washington State wants to Charge more for gas so that would raise prices to the tourist that they want to bring in, and if it does then they would take that money and blow it like a gambler in Las Vegas.

Now it is Banning words that have been used for years is now Racist, Offensive, or they just don’t like that word because it sounds mushy, like Mailman, Fireman, Milkman, Policeman, you can go on and on, and people today will not be happy and will always find some thing they don’t like, if you are not suppose to say man, then what do you call a Woman or Women, if you are not able to use the term man when it comes to Wo— or Wo— what do you call them then to make them Happy.

This is just like the Days when Wo— were burning their Bras, how long did that last, people have to forget about words and start getting this Country back from haters, ever since this administration got in to power, every thing Martin Luther King stood for has been wasted on to days society who only want to create problems, so what did Mr. Kings words mean, or did he lose his life for nothing? I think he was right, but to many people on both sides that don’t want to see change, it seems that people today want to see this Country go back to Foreign Rule and have the Government tell you what to do and take care of you.

Seattle City Hall Considers Banning ‘Offensive’ Words

City Officials in Seattle are defending an internal memo that questions the use of certain terms such as “brown bag” (as in “brown-bag lunch”) or “citizen” in a government setting.

According to the Seattle Office of Civil Rights, those terms can be deemed offensive or have a history of being offensive and therefore should not be used.

“Luckily, we’ve got options,” Elliott Bronstein of the Office for Civil Rights wrote in the memo. “For ‘citizens,’ how about ‘residents?’”

Banning Offensive Words in Government

The Office for Civil Rights contends that city government serves all residents of Seattle whether or not they are citizens.

In addition, the use of “brown bag” could unintentionally bring up racist connotations, according to Bronstein.

“It used to be a way people could judge skin color,” Bronstein said in a phone interview with ABC News affiliate KOMO-TV in Seattle. According to the memo, other options are available to city employees such as “sack lunch” or “lunch-and-learn.

The memo comes after the state legislature voted to remove gender specific words from official records, meaning words such as “freshman” and “journeymen” will be replaced by “first-year” and “journey-level” respectively.
